A complete renovation of this summer home with spectacular views of Lake Montauk began with understanding the objectives of a city family who summers in Montauk, entertains often and is all about beach living and fresh food.

Linda worked with the client to devise a smart plan and went “up” raising the roof, to minimize expanding the existing footprint. The addition, included a luxurious light filled second floor; a master sitting area, his and her master suite bathroom with separate his and her vanities, a soaking tub, large shower and natural stone counters and floors, a dressing room with custom cabinetry and bedroom all with spectacular views of Lake Montauk. There is even a built in juice bar for a healthy start to your day!

The kitchen on the first floor is open and airy indoor and incorporates outdoor living. A true multi-zone chefs kitchen was designed to scale to 20 but can also be cozy for 2.  All appliances were strategically place to support the flow of a true cook, all within arms length. A large walk in pantry organizes even the most disorganized cook, or at least keeps clutter hidden! Additional refrigeration drawers accommodate all the fresh produce. Keeping with the desire to be green, dual dishwashers, one being a drawer unit is used when the house is less occupied.

Linda designed custom ash wood cabinetry with a linen wash finish and a furniture like center island with a mahogany work counter that has two spectacular industrial pendants with glass shades, and an antique brass finish, to tie in the comforts of the living room. There is a beverage center, which doubles as a bar and a breakfast station. A place to summer, a wonderful place to live.
